Accessibility expertise is a cornerstone of the BVI Workforce Innovation Center. We are committed to promoting independence in the personal and professional lives of people of all abilities.

The Accessible Products Hotline provides guidance on the accessibility and usability functions of top consumer products used in the home and office. With one phone call or email, consumers with vision loss have access to professional advice from our certified staff and lists of products that fit their unique accessibility needs or product in question.

How it works

Identify your unique needs

If you don't have a specific product in mind, we'll uncover your goals, your needs, and how you like to access products.

Review your current products

We'll ask questions about the products you currently use and discuss the accessibility features of those items. We'll also review the latest product innovations that include accessibility features.

Provide accessibility insights and resources

We'll help you determine the technology and features you can utilize to make the most of your experience at home and in the office.

We serve our clients as an unbiased, third party resource to review and discuss the accessibility features of products you currently use or are interested in using.

Product customer service

We offer accessibility expertise based on our own research and experience with products. If you have questions for a specific manufacturer, we can help you find contact information for you to reach them directly.

Assistive technology expertise

We enjoy providing accessibility and usability guidance for everyday products in the home and office. If you need personalized rehabilitative services or training, we encourage you to reach out to your local vocational rehabilitation provider.
